At least it's something...

This last weekend I had the joy of attending a 24-hour crop event at my church. I was so excited...at last I was going to get some pages done!!

Yeah...

Right...

As far as I'm concerned, my lack of productivity is due to numerous conditions, the least of which would be my still-aching hands: the need to chatter (there were 8 women in the room, after all), the need for sustenance (scrapbooking is hard work, and you must replenish that energy with snacks...lots and lots of snacks), and the need for sleep (yep, I ended up taking a 2-hour nap around 4am).

All in all, it was a ton of fun, and even though it wasn't much, I did get three single-page layouts and one two-page layout completed. And here they are for your enjoyment! :D

(Layout for a scraplift challenge on Timeless Daydreams...my inspiration was from savannascraps, and was also titled "The Guys". It can be seen here.)

(Journaling reads: "All I wanted was a nice picture of Garrick and I together. All G wanted to do was play. Cute pics of a funny little boy? Sure. Perfect, wall-worthy pics? Nope...Not Quite)

Trying to get back on track

My major life lesson this past month has been that having surgery on both hands at the same time isn't bad at all. But recovery after having surgery on both hands at the same time is awful! It's getting better, for sure, but I have a feeling I have a long way to go before I'm back to "normal", if ever.

Needless to say, my computer and scrapping time both have been extremely minimal. I am lucky enough to be participating in a 24-hour crop this weekend, and am really looking forward to that! Hopefully I can be uber-productive...but I'm not placing any bets! LOL!

I did get a few pages done in the days before my surgery...here they are:
